      Pregame look for the epic showdown for the AFC North crown!!! Prime time, under the lights, loser goes home winner takes all!!!

      Steelers Nation!!! On the eve of Sunday night prime time showdown for the AFC North crown, our Pittsburgh Steelers are out for blood. This will be a gritty, blow-for-blow game. The physicality that will be displayed in this match-up will leave teams around the league covering their eyes.

      This is Steelers vs Ravens would you expect anything else? Especially what’s on the line, and the venue it’s being played in…

      The injury report for this game is a bright spot for the Steelers. Everyone is back and ready for action. All sports media personalities are counting us out, Vegas is counting us out, and anyone outside of Pittsburgh is counting us out.

      That is a recipe for a Mike Tomlin legacy game, it’s in our house, and under the lights!!! What else could you want. Ol’ man Rodggyyy will play at an elite level throughout this match up. If you think for one second that he will go out like a chump, you are a dumbass like the rest of them. He will have the offense moving the football and putting the Steelers in position to make plays and to put up points. It just feels like a late career statement game from Rodggyyy, I can feel it deep in my bones.

      This Pittsburgh Defense will be up for the challenge. Defend the north, defend Pittsburgh and defend our house!!!! Tj Watt is back, he may not play the snap count he is accustom to, but you can bet your last dollar that he will have an impact in the ball game. It’s also a legacy game for the ol’ vet Cam Hayward. You think for a second he’s going to let the Ravens of all team to come into his house and end his season this late in his career??? Hell no, I expect Cam to have a large impact on this game as well.

      The weather for Sundays night match up is a brisk 28 degrees, with an actual feel of 20. Gosh, you gotta love it!!! Acrisure Stadium will be absolutely rocking from the parking lots in pregame, to the actual game itself. It will be a sea of rolling waves of terrible towels swinging in the night. What a beautiful sight to see. When renegade gets played late into tomorrow’s match up, it will be heard booming into the night throughout Pittsburgh and echoing all the way to Baltimore.

      Steelers nation, we are the best damn fan base in the NFL and of any sport fan base across the globe. We will have an electric impact on this game and outcome. Let’s get behind the men of the black and gold and make sure our presence is felt from pregame until the clock strikes all zeros!!!! This game will be an absolute blockbuster of a game that will display supreme physicality, grit, and determination. I can’t wait!!!! All of my neighbors down here in Rancho Isabella here in South Texas, can feel this energy coming off of my back porch with renegade blasting at full volume.       With the Steelers playing in primetime this week, I want to explore a few other picks I like across this money-filled weekend before we get to the main event.

      With it being divisional weekend, you can expect some very heartfelt games — the kind that come down to emotion, desperation, and chaos.

      As always, I’ll give you my three best bets and a four-leg parlay that will probably have me on my knees by three o’clock in the afternoon.

      This week is a little special.

      I’ll be giving:

      • Three best bets for the full Saturday–Sunday slate

      • One four-leg parlay

      • Then my three best bets and a four-leg parlay specifically for the Steelers primetime matchup against the Ratbirds

      Let’s go.

      My Best 3 Bets (Full Slate)

      Panthers +2.5 (+100)

      This isn’t a winner-take-all matchup since the Bucs still need the Falcons to lose — but I like the Panthers to win this game and take the NFC South.

      Here’s why I’m backing Carolina.

      The Bucs are:

      • 1–6 ATS at home

      • 1–5 ATS at home as favorites

      • 2–6 ATS after a loss

      That screams disaster.

      Meanwhile, the Panthers are:

      • 4–4 ATS on the road

      • 8–5 ATS as underdogs

      • 3–3 ATS as road dogs

      • A perfect 7–0 ATS after a loss

      And they’re coming off a humiliating loss to the Seahawks.

      I don’t know about you, but I cannot — and will not — buck this trend.

      I’m tailing.

      Saints vs. Falcons Over 43.5 (-120)

      Nothing screams over like two teams playing for absolutely nothing.

      The Falcons are coming off an impressive win against the Rams, with Bijan Robinson leading the way with 229 total scrimmage yards. You can expect another big game from him as Atlanta starts to figure out who they are offensively.

      They’ve scored 29, 26, and 27 points in their last three games, which tells me something has clicked.

      On the other side, the Saints look like they’ve found a rhythm with young buck Tyler Shough. They’ve won their last four games, scoring 107 total points in that span.

      This matchup has all the makings of a high-efficiency offensive day.

      Packers +8.5 (-115)

      Yes, this probably smells like a trap line.

      Yes, I’m still taking it.

      Even with the Packers resting some starters, this feels like too many points. Malik Willis has been solid in the backup role, and Green Bay isn’t resting everyone.

      With this being a divisional game, I think they keep it close enough to cover. Not to mention, J.J. McCarthy is coming off yet another injury, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s limited.

      I’m not overthinking this one.

      Take it — and hold your breath that the Packers don’t completely lay down.

      4-Leg Parlay (+1440)

      With this potentially being the last game of the season — and with all of us chewing every last fingernail — I’m keeping it simple.

      No overthinking.

      No cute stuff.

      Best Bets

      Steelers +3.5 (-115)

      Don’t overthink it. Take the points.

      Do I want them to win outright? Absolutely.

      But I’ll gladly take 3.5 points in a matchup that is almost always decided by one score.

      Since 2008, the underdog in this rivalry is 78% ATS under Mike Tomlin. There isn’t a coach I trust more with his back against the wall as a home dog.

      I expect them to come out swinging.

      With temperatures expected to dip below freezing (around 24 degrees), this has classic ugly Steelers–Ravens written all over it.

      Expect both teams to pound the rock, impose their will, and bleed the clock.

      Points will be earned the hard way.

      If the Ravens win this game, it will be because of Derrick Henry, not Lamar Jackson. Henry has been on an absolute tear, and I expect him to get a heavy workload on Sunday night.

      First off — Happy New Year, everyone.

      Flip the Script Thursday is here, and I’m not going to lie — I’m already fired up writing this.

      Most of us are bummed about the absence of DK Metcalf. And now, with Darnell Washington officially sidelined for the season, it feels like another gut punch in a year full of them.

      But here’s the thing…

      Things are looking up.

      So let’s flip the script.

      By the end of this blog, I want you believing — truly believing — that this team can win this football game without those key contributors.

      Let’s talk replacements.

      Pat Freiermuth has to step up in a big way, and I think he will. We need to be hearing MUUUUTHHHHH chants echoing through the stadium all afternoon. Tight end production has been inconsistent this year, largely because Washington has eaten up the majority of the snaps — and deservedly so, with his blocking in both the run and pass game.

      But now it’s time to wake the sleeping giant.

      Jonnu Smith has quietly carved out a role this season, and somehow his biggest moments have come as a running back. That tells you all you need to know about how creative this offense can be when it trusts its personnel.

      Freiermuth has takeover ability.

      This feels like his moment.

      And now let’s get to the run game.

      There’s no mystery about what the Ravens are going to do. They’re going to hand the ball to Derrick Henry and dare you to stop it. The Steelers need to answer that same challenge.

      And here’s why I like their chances.

      The run game has been dominant over the last three weeks. Even with a makeshift offensive line, they’ve imposed their will. The young replacement left tackle, Dylan Cook, has held his own, and the interior offensive line has been solid — physical, nasty, and committed.

      If Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell get rolling early, it changes everything. It slows the game down. It keeps the defense fresh. And it opens up the entire playbook.

      That’s Steelers football.

      Yes — losing Washington and Metcalf for a second straight week hurts. No one is denying that.

      But this isn’t a season-ending loss. It’s an obstacle.

      Win this game, and suddenly the narrative flips. You get Metcalf back for a home playoff game in the first round, and everything you just endured becomes part of the story.

      And let’s not forget — T.J. Watt is lurking. Against a team he has made a living off of disrupting. Games like this tend to swing when No. 90 decides it’s time.

      That’s not hope.

      That’s history.

      This team has been written off before.

      This team has answered before.

      With their backs against the wall and nothing handed to them, this is exactly where they belong.

      That statement pissed off a lot of Steelers fans — myself included.

      Hey Mike, if you would have beaten the Browns on Sunday, it would be:

      “Let’s talk about who’s resting for our home playoff game.”

      Instead, we’re preparing for the mass punishment Derrick Henry is about to bring.

      All of the chaos aside, I’ve developed a simple mentality:

      So what.

      Let’s just go win.

      Yes, that loss was ugly.

      Yes, I wanted to jump off a cliff.

      Yes, I wanted to drink bleach until my eyeballs bled.

      Yes — I wanted to win.

      But with the world against us and our backs firmly against the wall, this feels like the exact spot where this team thrives.

      They’ve done it all year.

      Just when you’re ready to bury them and walk away… they rise.

      So that’s where my pulse is on this dreadful and beautiful Wednesday.

      I think this team rises to the occasion.

      I think we’ll be hosting a home playoff game next week.

      A post game recap from the horrifying abysmal loss to the 3-12 Cleveland Browns…

      Are we surprised, that the Steelers played down to their competition? Division title on the line, and that was an Oscar worthy performance for shitting down your leg!

      Let me lay something out for you, and it’s call the “Tomlin Special”. What is that you may ask… The Pittsburgh Steelers are (0-4-1) in their last 5 games that their opponents are 8+ games below .500. Let that sink in… Underprepared, under coached, and outclassed by the Cleveland Browns.

      I will give credit where it’s due, the Browns came in and put belt to ass. They played their superbowl today and they won. Congratulations to them. They played hard and deserved to win today!

      The Pittsburgh Steelers defense early on, played scared, and with their heads in their ass. Making Shedeur Sanders look like prime Tom Brady… Just pathetic. They have been playing so good as of late. Well they got tired of that and just said to hell with it and got bullied for most of the game.

      Arthur Smith and the Pittsburgh Steelers need to have a psychiatric evaluation!!! The complete lack of give a damn, showed in the play calls all game. The lack of execution, reflects the lack of coaching this unit receives. The whole “next man up” mentality for the WR room is non-existent. MVS can’t catch a cold during prime flu season! We pay Pat Freiermuth top TE money to not use him. He makes big plays down the stretch to get us into contention to score then don’t target him, or scheme a play for him to score to tie the game.

      It’s honestly comical at this point. Darnell “mount washington” Washington broke his arm/forearm early in this game. Which will prove to be a big loss for next weeks match up against the Ravens.

      After watching this performance from the Steelers this week, it looks very doubtful that we can take care of business at home next week against the Ravens.

      Another classic Tomlin collapse, but hey we had a winning record again this season!!!!

      All in all Steelers nation, this was a very heartbreaking, morale killing, body shot of a loss this week. Will the Steelers get up off the canvas and turn it around to win the division and make a playoff run? Time will tell.. time will tell..

      Well Steelers Nation it’s as simple as this.. Win and get in, clinch the AFC North in week 17. It’s Cleveland, they have been pretty horrific again this year. Besides the bright spot from Myles Garrett having a great individual year this year, Cleveland per usual doesn’t win football games.

      Their defense has kept them from being winless this year. This won’t be a cupcake walk-through win this week. Cleveland will be looking to play spoiler this week and force a winner take-all game with Baltimore next week. That would be their Super Bowl.

      I believe the Steelers will be competent, very run heavy for tomorrow’s match up. No Dk Metcalf, No Calvin Austin. Deep threats missing tomorrow’s game, you should expect a field position battle punt fest!

      Sounds super exciting. Ol’ man Rodggyyy will be dumping it down quite a bit and trying to scratch and claw for first downs.

      Cleveland will stack the box and dare us to throw it deep to back up wide receivers. I’m a gambling man, I’d let it fly to MVS, Roman Wilson, and MUUTTHHH!

      My crystal ball can see a classic Tomlin snooze fest win, but I’d take it in a heartbeat Steelers nation. BEAT CLEVELAND, win the north, and make them bend the knee to the kings of the north!

      Happy Christmas Eve to all yinzers foreign and domestic! We don’t have very long, the league office is trying to make an example out of the Steelers.

      By suspending DK Metcalf for the rest of the regular season, they are looking to handcuff the Steelers, and Steeler Nation. For a small altercation to lead to a two game suspension is absurd. A one game suspension, and fines would have been sufficient.

      The league is trying to give any advantage to the Ravens they possibly can by trying to slow down Artie and the boys. The funny thing is Warren, Gainwell, and the o-line don’t give a shit. They are going to pound the rock with old school bully ball. Ol’ Man Rodggyyy has done more with less most of his career. Don’t get me wrong DK not being available is not ideal, but it’s not a death sentence like the league thinks they just came down with.

      Steelers Nation, Steeler players, coaches, and all yinzers know Renegade by heart. They know it so well they hum it in their sleep, it courses through their veins, we embody the renegade persona.

      For those around the league and unfortunate fans of other teams let me break down a renegade for you..

      The Detroit Lions are a top 5 rushing offense in the NFL, averaging 138 rushing yards per game. Averaging 4.8 to 4.9 yards per carry. Sunday that seemed to be a far distant fairy tale. The Lions rushed for 15 total yards on 12 attempts for an average of 1.25 yards a carry. Truly non-existent. With Pittsburgh’s top two edge defenders out, this wasn’t supposed to be the case.

      Derrick Harmons impact on the run defense.. Teams are averaging 96 yards per game, when he plays and when he doesn’t it’s close to 190 yards per game. A mind blowing difference. His impact is seen on tape, in the box score, and the eye test.

      With this win, and the Baltimore Ravens losing to the New England Patriots on Sunday night. The stars are aligning, for the Steelers to clinch the division with a win at Cleveland this week. We will see what the week holds for Pierre, Herbig, Echols, and Watt. This defense humming the last few weeks, getting close to full strength heading into the postseason will be a serve undertaking for opposing offenses. We clinch this week and Tj can rest until the playoffs.

      The 1-2 punch, knockout punches that is of Jaylen Warren, and Kenneth Gainwell for the Steelers have been explosive this year. They have been everything to keep the Steelers afloat until Arthur Smith got his head out of ass. Realizing he can use Rodgers to throw DK the ball downfield for splash plays. MVS dropped a touchdown from Rodgers’s didn’t have enough body control on the attempted reception. Rodgers is playing at an elite level in the sense of game management, ball placement, and extending drives on big 3rd down completions. He’s having fun and his energetic body language, is oozing into this team on both sides of the ball.

      Dylan Cook 4th string left tackle, 140 snaps this week (Monday, and Sundays game) 0 penalties, 0 sacks, 0 excuses. He got a shout out from “el jefè”Mike Tomlin in the post game press conference. An underdog story, in a blue collar underdog city in Pittsburgh, a match made in heaven. He is doing is job and doing it at a high level so far. This young offensive line is starting to click, the Steelers rushed for 230 yards against the lions on Sunday in a must win game. Purely enforcing your will upon your opponent!

      Ol’ Man Rodggyyy has been playing some of his best ball of the season as of late, on this 3 game win streak the Steelers are currently on. Over the last 3 games he is 73/102 on attempts (71.56% completion percentage), 774 yards, 4 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown to 0 turnovers. Pretty damn elite, I don’t give a rats ass what people say about MY QB!! He is the steady hand to orchestrate the offense on this symphony to our 7th Lombardi!!!

      Steelers Nation in conclusion… Hope is a dangerous, dangerous, drug and it’s a full blown epidemic currently. Wins are stacking, vibes are vibrant, and flashbacks of Super Bowl runs are on constant replay in my mind. As well as most of us yinzers. You can feel the energy and confidence oozing from this team, and it’s highly, highly, contagious.

      What a beautiful Monday to be a Steelers fan!!! We might have lost a year or two off of our life span with the blood pressure at max capacity for the finale but the Steelers come out of Motown with a victory. Let’s get into it!!!

      Let’s talk about this defense…

      Missing TJ, Herbig, and Pierre what a performance. We were picked to get dog walked, and this defense showed up, bowed their necks, and laid it on the line. Stuffed the run like a south Texas jalapeño popper wrapped in bacon!! Did Gibbs, or Montgomery play today??? Couldn’t tell you… The run defense was suffocating, the back-end did their job. It was stop after stop. Along this ride we have to give props where it’s due. Jared “goof” Goff played his ass off and had a great game “statistically”. On that note he’s still a loser tonight, tomorrow, and for Christmas, a loser. This defense flew around and made play after play.

      What won’t show up in the box score is a max effort, peel your eye lids back ball hawk play Patrick Queen made on the wr screen at the 1 yard line before all the riff raff started on the last drive. Saved the game and quite possibly the division.

      Yahya Black made a huge big man play with a deflected pass on a guaranteed touchdown throw from “goof”. I don’t know what Mike T has the boys drinking but make sure that shit is on tap the rest of this season!! Max effort play after play, just wow, what a performance.

      Let’s get into this diabolical offense the mad scientist Arthur smith is putting together. With a 4th string left tackle, and back up left guard… the Steelers rush for over 200 yards!!!!!

      Warren’s runs for breakaway touchdowns came from the left side. Artie has these guys bought in and what a job from ol’ man Rodggyyy.. my god he is still elite from the shoulders up. He is the maestro to our orchestra!!!

      Warren balled out, and my man Kenny G what can you say about the effort this guy oozes into our offense… He is special and deserves a lengthy contract extension to keep him in the Burgh. Newcomer “outcast” as ol’ man Rodggyyy would put it, Adam Thielen made some huge catches on 3rd down along with Scotty Miller. Making tremendous contributions to the “collective” pushing us to victory.

      Mike Tomlin the head chief with several moves to go for it on 4th down and it pays off, again to play with no fear. This was a complete and total team win from every phase! From fire Tomlin to extend Tomlin! He has the men kicking ass and taking names!

      Walked into Detroit, and took their identity like your 4th grade bully took your lunch money!! What a feeling to be on a roll again. We are playing games on our terms and it’s glorious..

      Going into Cleveland this week with a full head of steam!! Let’s ride baby!!!!

      Both the Lions and Steelers come into this match up with identical records sitting at a respectable 8-6. Steelers are coming off an absolute dominating performance against the Miami Dolphins, and the Lions are coming off an emotional roller coaster of a loss to the Rams!

      The Lions have several key players either ruled out or listed as questionable “game time decisions”. The Steelers are in the same boat, with several key starters slated to miss this matchup and a few starters listed as questionable.

The Lions are in must win territory to keep their playoff hopes alive and at a high percentage of making it. While the Steelers it’s not so much of a must-win, but it will further greaten their chances of winning the AFC north.

      I have a feeling this contest will be won in the trenches and sustained drives. There may be an explosive play here and there, but this game will come down to ball control and long drives that accumulate points.

      Dan Campbell’s Lions are known for their aggressive play calling and grit. Making their opponents match them tit-for-tat in physicality. The current state Mike Tomlin has been in with recent aggressive play calling and decisions, has infused new life into this team and into the city of Pittsburgh!! The Steelers will bring physicality and plenty of grit to this match-up. NFL fans around the world will be blessed with an old-school smash mouth game.

      Steelers nation, I’m locked in, I’m loaded up, and tomorrow afternoon we go into Detroit… Get into an old school back alley street fight and come out with a Win!!!

      This has a classic Mike Tomlin field control game written all over it!!! I believe the Steelers will be stout against the run this game making Jared “goof” Goff beat you with his arm in a one dimensional offense. I really.. really… love our odds in that scenario.

      You can expect heavy touches to Gainwell, and Warren for this game. Rodgers to take care of the ball, and take chances in plus advantage scenarios with pushing the ball down the field.
