Letssss gooooo, Steeler Nationnnn!!! What a refreshing win this past Monday night against the Miami Dolphins, a team that was RED HOT coming into the game, and we… well… kicked the piss out of ’em.

Steelers victories are usually filled with drama, anxiety, and stress for four quarters… or just pure disappointment. NOT THIS TIME.

Man, I was sitting on my couch, drinking some Guinness, smiling ear to ear like I was watching a Sydney Sweeney chick flick.

Every Thursday, I’ll be dropping a “Flip the Script” blog where I take some BS narratives, good or bad, and flip them right on yinz heads. So without further ado, I’ll quit yapping and get right into it.

The Steelers, for as long as I’ve known them, have always had a beast at running back. Dating back to The Bus Jerome Bettis… Rashard Mendenhall… Willie Parker… Le’Veon Bell… Najee Harris. We are known for pounding the football down people’s throats. It’s what we were born to do.

I’m about to add a name to that list — and it’s not who you think it is…

Kenneth Gainwell.

Kenny G has hands as smooth as butter, feet as fast as Muhammad Ali, the strength of a bison, and the heart of a Pittsburgh Steeler. I love Warren, but this guy has an edge to him that I can’t get enough of. A play is never dead when the ball is in Kenny G’s hands.

He’s rushed for 451 yards on just 93 attempts, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. He’s a hell of a running back and complements Warren extremely well.

Now it’s time for me to flip the script.

The media glazes Christian McCaffrey every single day, along with Kyle Shanahan, for how “genius” they are at utilizing McCaffrey in the passing game. Meanwhile, Arthur Smith and the Steelers get bashed for using Kenny G.

Here’s the funny part: Kenneth Gainwell has the most receptions on the Steelers, and Christian McCaffrey has the most receptions on the 49ers.

Gainwell has 57 receptions on 65 targets for 332 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. You might say, “Flip, that’s not really that good.” Yeah — no kidding. He’s a running back. His average depth of target isn’t going to be great.

Now let’s look at Christian “Saint” McCaffrey’s stats. McCaffrey has 86 receptions on 108 targets for 820 yards.

You might be thinking, “Flip, you’re comparing apples to oranges.”

No — I’m not.

McCaffrey has a 79% catch rate, while Gainwell sits at an 87% catch rate. Like I said, hands as smooth as butter. Give Gainwell 108 targets and let’s see what he does. This guy is a weapon, and he needs to be utilized moving forward.

Here’s my point: stop letting the media bash us for doing exactly what we’re supposed to be doing, getting the ball into one of our best playmakers’ hands. Who cares if he’s our leading receiver?

Kenny G will shoulder the load while we waltz to a Super Bowl.
