Monday night is approaching fast for the 7–6, first-place Pittsburgh Steelers, and nothing about this season has been normal. It has been nothing but ups, downs, and pure inconsistency, pretty much the full Steelers fan experience.

They have a red-hot Dolphins team coming to town, winners of four straight and fighting for the final Wild Card spot. One of those wins came against the second-place AFC East Bills, who currently sit at 9–4. In other words, this is not exactly a cupcake.

Now, there are a few reasons I believe the Steelers will win this game, and none of them have anything to do with what actually happens between the lines.

Yes, the Steelers have been absolutely abysmal at defending the run, and that is what scares me the most. If they cannot slow down Achane, it could be a very long Monday night filled with pacing the living room, muting the TV, and questioning my life choices.

But hear me out.

The Steelers will be wearing the Color Rush uniforms on Monday Night Football, where they are 8–3 all time. When you combine the Color Rush jerseys with the gold painted end zones, they are a perfect 8–0. Oh, and let’s not forget the casual little detail of the Steelers being on a 22-game winning streak on Monday Night Football.

Coincidence, I think not.

Yes, I am being a complete degenerate. Yes, I am fully aware this is delusional fan logic. But you cannot convince me that those numbers do not give you at least some hope that fate may just be on the Steelers’ side come Monday night.

Sometimes football is not about matchups, schemes, or analytics.

Sometimes it is about the jerseys. Sometimes it is about fate. And sometimes, that is all a Steelers fan needs.
